New Bikes!

Jalena and David have been really patient when it comes to being able to ride bikes. We thought we would be back in the States by the end of October and at this point it could be more like Feb or March of next year at this point, not really sure yet?????? The earliest we will be home if we are really really lucky is Christmas, so keep your fingers crossed! We kept telling the kids that they can have bikes as soon as we get to America and since that has been put off we headed to the toy store today to pick them up some new bicycles! They are both totally in love with them, David of course threw a tantrum and didn't want to come off of his when it was time to come in for dinner and he really didn't want to come out of all his bike riding gear. I went a little over board on the safety with them, but I don't exactly trust the health care system over here and would rather be on the safer end of the spectrum with them. So, they have helmets, knee pads and elbow pads to go with the bikes. They all came as a package with the helmets, so I figured why not deck them all out!

Sorry for not posting pics in such a long time. Last weekend we also had some friends over for dinner one night and all the kids jumped into the bed together so there will be a picture of Anna, a classmate of David's as well in some photos. Anna's parents got here just a month before we did and they will be here while Anna's mom does her Infectious Disease fellowship over here. Jalena also got new sunglasses, David already had some from my baby shower and Jalena now wears her's all the time! She thinks she is way too cool!

We hope you are all well, we have a bit of a long holiday weekend since Monday is Eid (pronounced EAT), the holiday celebrating the end of Ramadaan, it is a feasting day! Hopefully some more pics as well by the end of the weekend.

Miss you all,
Katie, Jalena and David
