A weeks worth of pictures all from a very very busy Saturday and Sunday morning! Saturday morning started off with our mother daughter morning. We decided that Jalena and Mommy need their own time and so do Mommy and David. Mommy and David get Sunday mornings alone when Jalena goes to church and Saturday mornings Jalena and Mommy go to Dormans, a coffee shop and have muffins and then head out to Karen (about 15 miles away) for some horse back riding lessons. Yesterday was Jalena's first time to ever see a horse and she did an amazing job. We first walked around the stables and met all the horses and stroked them, then Jalena was ready to walk right over to the tree stump to climb right on her 13 1/2 year old horse named Black Magic. Jalena's guide, Ben was kept busy with Jalena's story telling and her asking lots of questions about horses. I think Ben enjoyed the 30 minutes just as much as Jalena did. Many here assume that Jalena cannot do anything due to her vision loss and then she blows most of them out of the water with her knowledge of things, and how well she speaks! She is a pretty amazing little girl and they all learn that by the time they finish meeting her.

Our friends Kim and Jeromy completed their Kenyan adoption last July and Kim is here with her now three kids for the next five weeks. We had a play date on Saturday afternoon and we had a big sleepover. The kids had a blast and Mommy loved getting some adult time in and having a friend to talk to, however not all of the kids slept so well on Saturday night, but they sure did have a good time!

Hope you enjoy and Happy Mother's Day to the moms out there!

Lots of love,
Katie, Jalena and David
