David on Black Magic, not sure if the assistants had such a young rider before, but David did just fine.
What David was really into that day more than the horse and birds, was the MUD! Yup, mud here is not basic brown, it is good old red clay mud that is super duper hard to get out of clothes, but we have been doing a pretty darn good job of getting it out! What I don't have photos of is David got stuck in the mud and then decided to walk around in it in his socks and then just get on all fours in it!
I haven't posted in a bit, we all had a bit of a stomach bug this past week, the computer was down at times, running back and forth to the lawyer and just overall craziness. Last weekend I ran the kids a bit ragged and then paid the price when we all got a stomach bug. Last weekend though on Saturday David went for his first trail ride that was an hour long on his own horse with Jalena riding near by. He has been really good and riding for about five minutes a week at school on his own and rode with Mommy for an hour when we were in Subukia, but this time he wanted to do it all by himself! Jalena was so kind and gave up her very slow, 14 year old Black Magic to David. Jalena got to ride Nunyki, not too much younger, but 12 and a bit of a stuborn horse. Hope you enjoy these pics......
